Spring has Sprung!!

Some important conservation tips to remember from Dr. Waters:

-         Don’t overspread fertilizer, this can lead to excess nutrients washing into water ways causing algae blooms.  Check out why on "Our Watershed

-         Water lawn or garden in early morning or even when the sun is not as strong.  Maybe invest in a rain barrel that can be used for watering plants.

Looking for a spring project?  Why not install a rain garden to collect runoff from roof and driveway.  For more information visit Penn State Extension about rain gardens.
