Spring has Sprung!!
Some important conservation tips to remember from Dr. Waters:
Don’t overspread fertilizer, this can lead to excess
nutrients washing into water ways causing algae blooms. Check out why on "Our Watershed”
Water lawn or garden in early morning or even when
the sun is not as strong. Maybe invest
in a rain barrel that can be used for watering plants.
Looking for a spring project?
Why not install a rain garden to collect runoff from roof and
driveway. For more information visit Penn State Extension about rain gardens.
